What a peaceful and incredible hike this was I did a few weekends ago on an overnight trip to Idyllwild, California. I spend most of my summer in Palm Springs and the daily temperatures have been in the 110s, so an excuse to go up into the mountains with a temperature swing of 20-30 degrees cooler is always welcome. This hike isn’t for a beginner as you are almost constantly traveling vertical with lots of switchbacks, but the views and clean mountain air are worth the trip and hike alone.
